I never use an entire tub of Cool Whip. It makes it too “Cool Whippy” for my taste. I only use 2 cups and that’s plenty. I think the original recipe only calls for 1-3/4 c.

I can only answer why we make our recipe the way it is, with pineapple juice added it wouldn’t be as fluffy.
