Equipment

  • Medium Skillet

Ingredients

Instructions

  • Add olive oil and garlic to a medium skillet over medium heat.
  • As the pan starts to warm up and the oil thins out, add the spinach by a handful at a time. As the spinach cooks down, add more spinach until it is all in the pan. Stir gently so it doesn't burn.
  • When the spinach has reduced by about half (about 3 minutes of cook time), season with salt and pepper.
  • Cook the spinach for another 2-3 minutes, until you have your desired consistency.

Prep Tips:
  • Yield: Makes about 1 cup, or 1–2 servings.
  • Storage: Refrigerate in an airtight container for up to 3 days. Do not freeze.
  • Spinach: Baby spinach or regular spinach both work well.
  • Pan Prep: Add the garlic and oil to the pan before heating. Warming them together slowly helps develop the best garlic flavor.
