This mouthwatering Swiss cheese dip is the perfect addition to any party or gathering. It’s easy to prepare with just 5 ingredients and bakes up melty and delicious!
Hot Swiss Dip
Swiss Almond Dip is one of my all-time favorite hot and cheesy dips. While hot dips are great year-round, they are especially good in the cold months and can be paired with hot breads as well as crackers or cut up vegetables.
When I recently made this Swiss almond dip, it was a big hit with our family. It came out of the oven slight browned, gooey, and creamy. The Swiss cheese, cream cheese, and salad dressing create a comforting blend of flavors that is irresistible. I think it was the favorite appetizer of the day!
This recipe originally came to me from a friend who served it along side other appetizers at a get together. After one taste, I knew it was one of those “I need that recipe!” kind of food. I’ve also seen it called “Toasted Almond Cheese Spread” in cookbooks.
This hot Swiss cheese dip has a short prep time and can be served hot, right out of the oven. Start to finish you’ll only need about 30 minutes total time to make this dish. And it might disappear just as quickly!

- In a large mixing bowl, blend cream cheese and Miracle Whip together until smooth.

Prep Tips
- Salad Dressing – My friend who gave me the recipe insisted that it had to be made with Miracle Whip for the taste to be right. I’ve seen similar recipes that use mayonnaise. I had Miracle Whip in the refrigerator so I used that and I loved how it turned out, but I’m sure mayo would work too.
- Onions – The recipe I have calls for green onions. I have also made this dish using chopped sweet onions instead, and that tasted really good as well.
- Seasoning – My version of the recipe doesn’t call for any additional seasoning. But I have seen similar dips with the addition of a small amount of nutmeg and/or pepper.
- Serve With –Â Serve with a crusty bread or baguette slices, buttery crackers, Ritz crackers, tortilla chips, pretzels, or cut up vegetables.
